DAMOCLES SWORD ‘FEAR’

DAMOCLES SWORD ‘FEAR’

Fear, the invisible Damocles sword
Happiness and serenity impaired by it
Never know when fear has a hold on you
It suddenly arises and stifles your eagerness
Your body senses your fear and you know it too

Don’t know when it began
Was this the first cause?
A sudden blow to the face
A teacher venting her wrath
And misusing her authority

Or was this the reason for it?
No help to combat injury and injustice
Just being told to let it be
Look, no great harm done
They never understood emotional pain
